A lakeside home should work as beautifully as it looks. We plan spaces for everyday living, weekends and longer stays, with English-speaking guidance from the initial brief to furniture and final details.
  • Property design consultation
    Before buying or renovating, we consider how the rooms, daylight and views can support your plans. We discuss guest accommodation, storage and the balance between private spaces and shared living areas.
  • Residential interior design
    We develop layouts, 3D visualisations and detailed interior drawings around the character of your property. Natural materials, bespoke joinery and layered lighting connect the rooms without competing with the lakeside setting.
  • Implementation support
    We support the design through implementation, coordinating practical decisions with contractors and suppliers. We work alongside appointed, qualified professionals responsible for regulated technical activities.
  • Furniture and finishes
    We source furniture, lighting, finishes and textiles from Italian makers and specialist suppliers. Selections and purchasing are coordinated around your design, agreed budget and project schedule.

ABOUT THE STUDIO

Our Lake Como work includes a villa with contemporary classic interiors and bathroom spaces within an existing lakeside residence. These projects show two different ways to approach a home: developing a coherent interior as a whole, or carefully renewing selected rooms. From our base in Milan, we help international owners make informed decisions about space, materials and furnishings, with communication in English throughout the design process.

I am Olga Zakharovskaya, interior designer and founder of Zakharovskaya Design. A graduate of Moscow’s Stroganov University, I am now based in Milan. I design apartments and villas for clients who value quality, individuality and attention to detail. From the concept to detailed interior drawings, I develop the design and support its implementation. I work in English, Italian and Russian.

HOW WE WORK
Your brief
We discuss your property, lifestyle, priorities and budget. Communication in English helps keep decisions clear, whether you are in Italy or abroad.
Concept and 3D visualisation
We develop the concept and visualise the rooms so you can understand proportions, materials, colour and light before implementation.
Detailed interior drawings
Approved concepts become interior drawings, schedules and specifications for furniture, finishes and lighting.
Technical collaboration
We coordinate with appointed, qualified professionals on technical checks, building applications and any permissions required for the works.
Implementation support
We follow the interior design through implementation, discussing details with contractors and checking that design decisions remain consistent with the agreed concept.
Furniture procurement
Furniture, lighting and finishes are selected and ordered alongside the works, with attention to lead times and the project schedule.
Finishing touches
We bring the interiors together through furniture placement and final details. Any required technical submissions are handled by the appointed qualified professionals.
